THE FIRST PEAKZ CHALLENGE ‘BREAK BOUNDARIES’ WAS AN AMAZING SUCCESS.
More than 50 athletes, from young talents to Olympic athletes, participated in the challenge. A challenge that we started to support athletes in these challenging times.
They received votes from more than 3000 fans. And finally we were able to give 14 athletes their part of the total Sponsorship amount of €2.825,00.
🔥What an awesome final🔥! 2 athletes who did everything they can to win the Break Boundaries competition and take home that Sponsorship amount of €750.
@gian_hyper started very strong💪 in the first round. With more than 40 burpees in two minutes he won that first round as Mark eventually was able to get to 18 correct burpees.
But @mark_100m came back strong👏 in the second round, getting to 20 push-ups in 1 minute, after they just got a 30 second break after the first round. Gian felt the amazing 40+ burpees during the second round so we counted 10+ correct push ups of Gian.
Both Mark and Gian got a 30 second break before they started with the final round; Most double unders. A really tough rope jumping workout where Mark’s technique showed he was able to do most double unders.
We can CONGRATULATE🙌 @mark_100m with the win of the Peakz men’s challenge Break Boundaries🍾.
It was a great competition, where both athletes had a very positive and sportive spirit.🙌 Thank you so much guys!
WOMEN'S FINAL CHALLENGE
An online battle between very fit💪, focussed and just little nervous athletes. @lucy_harris1995 vs. @sofia.oliveira.9 ! Although the winner of the Women’s Peakz challenge Break Boundaries was known, Lucy Harrris🍾, they still wanted to go for it.
It was Lucy who won the first round with 34 burpees against the 30 burpees of Sofia in two minutes.
You could see they gave it all, especially Sofia, as round two, most push ups in a minute, was a clear win for Lucy (26 – 14 correct push ups).
Both athletes didn’t know the score of the first two rounds yet, as the judges also had to recount looking at the recording, so they really went for the final round. Double unders is a difficult and tiring work out, as we saw during the men’s final, and most definitely after the first two rounds. But to be honest, these two ladies made it look really easy. The score was 57 vs. 54 (a record on Peakz), resulting in a 3-0 win for Lucy.
We want to congratulate @lucy_harris1995 🙌👏for this great win and we want to thank both ladies for this exciting and sportive battle🙏.
